A research team led by Professor Wang Mingtai at the Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, developed a low-temperature solution-processing method for CuInS₂ thin-film solar cells. The cells achieved 12.28% efficiency, surpassing the 12.2% mark after nearly 30 years. Findings appeared in Joule.
