Graphics cards can run slower PCIe generations without Windows errors, hiding throttled performance. GPU-Z's Bus Interface field reveals the active link under load. Motherboard M.2 slot lane sharing or cheap riser cables can halve GPU bandwidth. Fixing this may eliminate a 2-5% FPS drop.
