Amazon hits $3trn market value first time

Amazon became the fifth company ever to surpass a $3trn market valuation after shares rose about 5pc on 3 August. Second-quarter net sales grew 20pc year-on-year to over $200bn, with AWS sales up 37pc to $42.2bn.
