MeitY Plans DigiLocker Expansion Into Private Sectors

MeitY's National e-Governance Division issued a Request for Empanelment on September 21 to integrate DigiLocker into banks, insurers, educational institutions and healthcare firms. Empanelled agencies must comply with the DPDP Act, 2023, keep auditable logs, host infrastructure in India, and avoid vendor lock-in. Responses are due October 10, 2026.
