Anthropic accuses Alibaba of stealing AI via fake accounts

Anthropic told U.S. senators that Alibaba used 25,000 fake accounts and 28.8 million exchanges with its Claude models to illicitly distill its AI capabilities. The violations occurred from April to June 2026. Anthropic previously accused DeepSeek, Moonshot, and MiniMax of similar theft using 24,000 accounts and 16 million exchanges.
