DHS Cybersecurity Alert Dismissal Problem

FEMA analysts noticed attackers altering files and hiding their presence in the Homeland Security Information Network from mid to late May, then again from late May to early June. Both times the breach was dismissed as a false positive. On June 4, personnel saw hidden backdoors and stolen credential data, finally raising an alarm.
