Steve Shoecraft launched MeshXFS, an open-source clustered filesystem adapting XFS using AI. Claude Opus, running as an autonomous agent, wrote the code while consulting other models. The project grew the XFS code from about 226k to about 314k lines. Each release undergoes a ~30 row suite on real multi-node clusters to ensure data integrity.
