Tesla has discontinued its Solar Roof tiles, telling third-party installers only conventional panels will be supplied going forward. The product, unveiled in 2016, saw just 3,000 US installations versus a 1,000-per-week target. Tesla is now planning a $10 billion factory near Houston.
