YouTuber Tobias Friedly, channel Game of Tobi, posted a work-in-progress video of Super Mario FX, a custom engine that runs rebuilt Super Mario 64 levels on original SNES hardware using the console's Super FX enhancement chip. Nintendo reportedly tried and failed at this in the 1990s. Friedly plans to release the project when finished.
