AEM secures £16M for rare earth-free motors

Advanced Electric Machines Group secured £16 million to expand its rare earth-free electric motor portfolio. The UK manufacturer's magnet-free motors replace copper windings with aluminium, reducing supply-chain risk. Barclays Climate Ventures, PXN Ventures, Northstar Ventures, and the Low Carbon Innovation Fund led the round, with Innovate UK loan support.
