Sony Ends PS5 Disc Games in 2028

Sony plans to stop making disc-based PlayStation 5 games by 2028, though existing discs remain compatible. The company will release a detachable drive for $79 for Slim and Pro models. While PS4 titles work, six specific games are excluded, and the console cannot play PS1 through PS3 physical media.
