Kazakhstan approved rules for strategic digital mining on July 18, requiring miners to transfer part of their mined crypto assets to a state-backed reserve. Miners must own a data center with at least 150 MW capacity and use hardware with minimum 150 TH/s. The rules take effect August 1, 2026.
