AI comedians workshop humor like humans

George Mason University Ph.D. student Shiwei Hong ran a workshop with 35 AI comedians to test if machines could improve humor through iterative feedback. The collaborative process, modeled on human writers groups, allowed the AIs to refine jokes collectively. The experiment suggests a new path for teaching AI humor.
