Sceye will park a 200-foot solar-powered HAPS 18 kilometers above the Pacific to beam 5G data to devices for Softbank. The New Mexico company's craft proved its endurance in a 2024 test flight and a 12-day spring flight to Brazil. HAPS platforms aim to deliver internet to disaster sites and observe Earth.
