Rivian R2 Hits Carbon Goal Four Years Early

Rivian's 2025 impact report says the R2 Performance SUV cuts lifetime greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent versus its 2022 R1 vehicles, four years ahead of its 2030 target. The mass-market R2 also emits 58 percent less than a comparable gas vehicle. Rivian expects about 70,000 deliveries in 2026, up from roughly 42,000 last year.
