Google director resigns over Pentagon AI contracts

Android platform security director René Mayrhofer resigned over Google's contracts allowing the Pentagon to use its AI models for classified work. His internal letter, titled "Google Management Has Lost Its Moral Compass," also cited the company's quiet abandonment of carbon-neutral goals. Hundreds of Google employees had previously signed an open letter opposing the deal.
