Gerry Pond, New Brunswick tech leader, dies at 82

Gerry Pond, former CEO of NBTel and Aliant Telecom, died on July 8 at age 82. Pond co-founded Mariner Partners, East Valley Ventures, Propel ICT, and the Pond-Deshpande Centre. He was an early investor in Radian6 and Q1 Labs and received the Order of Canada in 2016.
