US Locks Down Anthropic's Fable AI Model

The Commerce Department ordered Anthropic to limit access to its Fable 5 and Mythos AI models to US nationals only, following a discovered jailbreak. Anthropic complied with the Trump administration directive but argued the response was disproportionate to the actual risk. The company had previously stated Mythos was too dangerous for broad release.
