AR display balances real and virtual visibility

Researchers at the Shibaura Institute of Technology developed a mask-balancing AR display technique. The system uses polarized optics, eye tracking, and scene analysis to dynamically adjust real-world and virtual object visibility. A user study showed improved real-world visibility while keeping virtual objects realistic across environments.
