Jellyfin 12 nears release despite team departures

Jellyfin version 12 RC5 shipped August 10th, following RC4 on August 2nd, with faster playback and FFmpeg 8.1 support. Key team members left over direction disagreements, but the open-source project's succession plan and remaining developers keep development active. The current stable version is 10.11.11.
