OpenAI to Allow US Government Early Access to Frontier Models

OpenAI will allow the U.S. government to assess its AI models before public release, complying with President Trump's executive order. George Osborne, OpenAI's head of countries, announced the voluntary process at SXSW in London. The order asks companies to benchmark models for advanced cyber capabilities and grants government access for up to 30 days.
