Google Quantum AI introduced Decoded Quantum Interferometry (DQI), a quantum algorithm for optimization problems intractable for classical computers. The algorithm uses quantum interference to find near-optimal solutions but requires solving a hard decoding problem first. Research involved collaborators from Stanford, MIT, and Caltech.
