Finland Prioritizes Small Grid Connections Over Data Centers

Finland drafts an amendment ending first-come, first-served grid connections to prioritize smaller projects. Data centers above 1MW face lower priority unless they provide generation covering 50% of usage within 36 months. The rules take effect on January 1, 2027, with the first allocation scheduled for December 2027.
