Dan Luu reports that GPT-6 Astra significantly outperforms GPT-5.6 Sol on test and verification tasks. While the older model cost $3.50 to achieve 63% correctness, Astra costs only $1 to reach 99% correctness on the Zstd implementation. The new model also generates more effective fuzzing inputs compared to the previous version.
