SoftBank Group is considering acquiring Allied Universal for approximately $18 billion, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday. The potential deal would value the US security services provider and complement SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son's focus on AI and robotics, following a previous $5.4 billion acquisition of ABB's robotics business last year.
