São Paulo expands electric bus fleet with 500 new vehicles

São Paulo introduced 500 battery-electric buses, raising its zero-emission fleet to 1,759 vehicles. BYD supplied 265 of the new buses, including the D9W and BC22 articulated model. The city will no longer procure diesel-only buses, building on a 2022 SPTrans policy.
