A home server became unreachable after an ISP placed it behind carrier-grade NAT, which shares a single public IPv4 address among multiple customers. A free Cloudflare Tunnel restored access by having a cloudflared agent establish an outbound connection to Cloudflare's edge, requiring no open ports or router changes. The setup uses two containers in one Docker Compose stack and a domain using Cloudflare for DNS.
