Amazon designs custom AI chips for Echo, Fire TV

Amazon is building custom end-to-end silicon for critical consumer devices like Echo Show 8, Echo Show 11, and Fire TV, hardware chief Panos Panay told CNBC. The company unveiled AZ3 and AZ3 Pro chips in October to run AI models locally. Amazon still uses Qualcomm chips for some products.
