Monarc sells battery-less electric bikes

Minnesota-based Monarc launches a new pricing structure allowing customers to buy its Marker and Tracer e-bikes without batteries, saving $500 on the Marker and $250 per battery on the Tracer. This strategy targets existing owners with spare batteries rather than first-time buyers, aiming to reduce costs while maintaining premium parts like Bafang 750W motors and Shimano CUES transmissions.
