US cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike says a 26-year-old suspect in China's Guangdong province used free Chinese AI tool ARTEX and Anthropic's Claude Code to attack South Korean banks. The report, published on October 7, covers seven financial firms including Shinhan Bank and KB Kookmin Bank, where about 25,000 and 119 customer records were exposed respectively.
