Anthropic launches Mythos 5 and Fable 5 models

Anthropic introduced Claude Mythos 5 and Claude Fable 5, claiming both outperform competitors on benchmarks. Mythos 5 generates novel scientific hypotheses, with one already lab-verified, and discovered 14 protein targets, nine strong for drug design. Fable 5 blocks high-risk prompts and reroutes them to Claude Opus 4.8.
