Moonshot AI releases Kimi K3 open weights

Chinese startup Moonshot AI released the full open weights of Kimi K3, a 2.8 trillion-parameter Mixture-of-Experts model, on Hugging Face at 00:00 UTC on July 27. The download, stored using MXFP4 quantization, occupies roughly 1.4 terabytes and requires eight Nvidia H100 GPUs or more than 2TB of VRAM to self-host.
