Bitcoin exchange supply signal loses bullish punch

Bitcoin and ether balances on centralized exchanges have dropped to their lowest levels since 2017 and 2015 respectively. The metric is now less reliable because large amounts of crypto have shifted to institutional custody, ETFs, and DeFi protocols rather than long-term cold storage. Over 56% of bitcoin's circulating supply sits outside active trade.
