OpenAI Pledges to Pay for Data Center Costs

OpenAI published a National Community Compact pledging to pay for electricity and grid infrastructure for its data centers. The company also promised financial guarantees before major spending begins. This move follows midterm elections where voters in roughly 40 localities approved limits on data centers, with 28 measures passing in 25 localities.
