'Popa' Botnet Linked to Publicly-Traded Israeli Firm

The Popa botnet, active for four years, forces millions of Android TV boxes to relay traffic for advertising fraud and account takeovers. Researchers linked Popa to NetNut, a residential proxy provider owned by publicly-traded Israeli firm Alarum Technologies Ltd. The botnet is a plugin component of the Vo1d malware campaign.
