GE Aerospace completes first hybrid-electric flight

GE Aerospace achieved the world's first hybrid-electric flight at altitude. The test used a modified Saab 340B aircraft with a 1-megawatt electric motor. The flight demonstrated the potential for hybrid-electric propulsion systems to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in regional aviation.
