NSE Lists on Rival BSE After 34 Years

The National Stock Exchange listed its shares on the BSE on Thursday, 34 years after incorporation, an ironic debut on the rival it was built to challenge. NSE began debt trading in June 1994, launched equities that November, and overtook BSE equity volumes by October 1995, handling roughly two-and-a-half times BSE's daily volumes.
