Xpeng Names AI Chief to Lead Self-Driving Unit

Xpeng appointed AI chief Xianming Liu to lead its autonomous driving center, replacing Liyun Li. Liu holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and previously worked at Meta and Cruise. He joined Xpeng in March 2024 to lead the AI team.
