Alibaba previewed Qwen3.8-Max-Preview, a 2.4 trillion-parameter AI model, at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai. The company claims it trails only Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 among frontier models, but published no benchmark scores, model card, or activated-parameter count. Open weights are promised soon.
