PlanetScale announced support for the pg_duckdb extension, integrating DuckDB's column-store analytics engine into Postgres. The extension allows offloading analytics queries to MotherDuck's cloud data warehouse. This enables combining OLTP and OLAP queries over Postgres connections without impacting application performance.
