FCC approves sunlight-beaming mirror satellite

The FCC granted Reflect Orbital permission to operate radio equipment on its Eärendil-1 satellite. The demonstration satellite, submitted for launch in July 2025, is designed to test redirecting sunlight from orbit to specific Earth locations after dark.
