Researchers introduce Memorilla, a memory system for frozen large language models that uses only 16 memory tokens. It achieves 84.33% accuracy on FactKG benchmarks, beating full-context inference at 80.43% while using 108x fewer tokens. The system also improves agent success rates in TextWorld from 18.6% to 24.2% by reducing wandering behavior during long-context interactions.
