New Diesel Oil Blends Target DPF Clogging

The American Petroleum Institute approved the PC-12 diesel oil category earlier this year to help engine makers meet EPA 2027 rules requiring a 75% to 82.5% cut in nitrogen oxide emissions. Chevron's Delo 600 family uses synthetic dispersants and non-metallic anti-wear agents instead of ash-forming additives, reducing DPF clogging. The oils arrive January 1, 2027, and are backward compatible to 1998 engines.
