Florida AG Seeks Court Order Pausing OpenAI Models

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier filed a motion Monday asking a court to pause OpenAI's development of new AI models until safeguards exist, part of a June lawsuit alleging ChatGPT harms children. OpenAI spokesperson Drew Pusateri said the company already paused training its most capable models Friday, and wants industry-wide safety standards rather than rules for one company.
