macOS Golden Gate Drops Intel Macs and Rosetta

Apple's macOS Golden Gate, released Monday, September 14, is the first macOS to run only on Apple silicon, ending Intel Mac support and Boot Camp. It removes Rosetta 2, AFP, Time Capsule backups and AirPort Utility. macOS 28, expected fall 2027, will largely drop Rosetta 2, breaking most Intel-dependent apps.
