Linux kernel 7.2 adds Cache Aware Scheduling, grouping tasks sharing data to reduce cache bouncing. AMDGPU gains HDMI 2.1 FRL support for 4K at 120Hz, and exFAT I/O speeds improve up to 87%. Btrfs large folios are now default, boosting sequential writes 15%.
