Dutch Court Fines Chetu Over Webcam Firing

A Dutch court ruled that Chetu, a Florida software firm, unlawfully fired a telemarketer who refused to keep his webcam on for nine hours daily while working from home. The subdistrict judge in Tilburg found the demand breached his Article 8 privacy rights and ordered roughly 75,000 euros in compensation, mostly a 50,000 euro equitable award.
