Gellar Jabs Cancelled Buffy Reboot at Emmys

Sarah Michelle Gellar made a joke about the cancelled Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot while presenting at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. She appeared with her former co-star David Boreanaz. The planned Hulu and Searchlight Television revival, which Gellar was working on with director Chloé Zhao, was cancelled in March 2026.
