PC users reported mysterious sounds playing at random, traced to the Epic Games Launcher's social chimes folder. Epic confirmed the party chimes fired more often than intended and is updating the launcher to narrow which events trigger sound in the background. A toggle to disable chimes entirely is planned but not a priority.
