Gmail Stars Turn Blue, Users Unhappy

Google replaced Gmail's yellow stars and importance chevrons with saturated blue markers on the web, saying the high-contrast change improves accessibility. Users complain the identical blue tones flatten visual hierarchy, making email scanning harder and adding clutter. There is no revert option, though users can manually pick a yellow star preset or hide importance chevrons in Settings.
